It’s a huge challenge for those choosing Housekeeping as a career path in the future. JW Marriott Macau opened its 1015 rooms on 27th May 2015. The Housekeeping Team was led by Ivan and Jay to a successful opening with occupancy running in the high 90’s for the first 10 months, the young and dynamic team had the energy and drive to make it all happen.
Linen operations at JW Marriott Macau
Operating the Linen Room for a 1015 room hotel with over 95% year round occupancy, busy outlets and a very hectic swimming pool area with up to 2000 visitors a day is no mean feat.
The processing of over 5000 sheets and duvet covers daily along with thousands of towels, all of which need to be sent out to an external laundry operation, requires meticulous organisation and well directed manpower.
DOHA Housekeepers social
The DOHA Housekeepers social is an event for whole housekeeping fraternity where colleagues gets an opportunity to meet housekeepers from different properties as Executive Housekeeper /Director of Housekeeping.
This was one of the quarterly event, where the housekeeping teams met with much enthusiasm as some had never attended such events specifically for Housekeeping. This event was hosted at the Strata Lounge at Intercontinental Doha the city where 56th Floor was exclusively booked out for Doha Housekeepers Group.
